ABUL HASSAN
Mr Abul Hassan is the Director and founder of our firm. He was admitted as an Attorney – at – Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka in February 1980. In May 1986, the Law Society of England and Wales admitted him as a Solicitor in May 1986, whereupon he went on to found the firm of Pillai, Hassan & Corbin with two other solicitors. In August 1990 he founded Corbin & Hassan, Solicitors, as a Sole Practitioner, before later going into partnership with Mr Richard Ithell, and then continuing as Sole Principal on the dissolution of that partnership.
Mr Hassan is a very experienced solicitor and from 2001 to 2004 was a member of the Law Society’s Immigration Law Panel. He has many years experience in dealing with cases mainly in immigration/nationality, human rights, criminal defence, civil litigation, personnel injury, housing, and welfare benefits and both residential and commercial conveyancing. He has also managed, supervised and trained fee earners as well as other staff throughout. He now specialises in conveyancing and immigration/nationality law and human rights, and personally undertakes a substantial caseload in these areas. In January 2005 he was accredited by the Legal Service Commission as both a Level 2 Senior Caseworker and an Immigration Supervisor.
