OUR FIRM

In May 1986 three solicitors, Mr Fitzgerald Corbin, Mr Vellupillai Arumugam and Mr Abul Hassan set up the firm of Pillai, Hassan & Corbin, Solicitors.  Originally based in Stratford, London, Mr Corbin retired from the practice in May 1987.  Mr Arumugan and Mr Hassan continued to practise in partnership, eventually leading to the opening of a second office in Whitechapel, London.

In August 1990 Mr Hassan and Mr Arumugan dissolved their practice, and Mr Hassan set up the firm of Corbin & Hassan, Solicitors as a successor practice, based at the Whitechapel Office.  In June 2000 we moved to our current premises, a custom – converted first floor office in the heart of London’s East End, at 49 Raven Row.  In October 2002 Mr Richard Ithell, who had previously been a trainee and assistant solicitor at the firm, joined Mr Hassan in partnership.  That partnership was dissolved on 31st March 2006 when the firm was transferred to Corbin & Hassan Limited, with Mr Hassan as the sole director and shareholder.
